OMG!
Went out with Li Huan and Bernice today. Bernice was just ending her driving lesson this morning and since the driving school is so near my house I drove over to pick her up and then headed to LH’s house. First time driving to Bugis Junction today! And guess what. Stupid me googled for the road directions there and plain forgot to google the directions home. AGAIN. That was what happened the other time we drove down to NTU. - -. Sometimes I wonder if I weren’t dropped when I was a baby.
Everything was (almost) fine on the way there. It’s just CTE all the way until Bukit Timah road. We took the road in the wrong direction (that’s what happened too on the way to NTU) and had to take a “big ass” roundabout (I mistakenly called it a merry-go-round, you know, as in “let’s all merrily-go-around this tiny island”). We accidentally went past Victoria Street (where we should have turned right into) and did a loop at the next turn. And the way we found the carpark was
MAJOR AWESOME.
Hah. Firstly I was like, on lane 2 of a 4 lane road, and lane 4 was the only left-turn lane into the small road that leads to the carpark. So I had to get to lane 3 and then do an illegal left turn from lane 3 into the small road (lane 4 was completely lined up with cars and I had [had; have; the tense doesn't matter] no patience to squeeze in with them. That, plus I was already at the mouth of the small road =X). This was no biggie. AND THEN, I turned into the carpark. Well who would expect the lanes into the carpark to be in reversed orientation?? We’re in Singapore, people, we travel on the left side of the road! But suddenly when it comes to the carpark entrance of Bugis Junction, the laws of the road switch! OMG! Thank goodness there were no lane dividers. There was a van exiting from the carpark. Whew.
We parked the car fine and had a great day. The mushroom soup LH ordered at The Soup Spoon is sooooo nice! OMG! I hated my Herbed Chicken Caesar. The chicken was dry, tough, and tasteless. But then again chicken has always been tasteless. Went window shopping around and I really liked one of the big black watches but the LED was in red, and I much prefer the blue, but blue was a different model. Nevermind, I’ll save up for a binary watch! We took neoprints too! And I can.not take neoprints. Somehow I can’t let loose enough to make silly faces which are what makes taking neoprints fun! Plus I’m ugly >.>
Went back to the basement to get MY CREPES. I pronounce it crap-pees and I don’t care if it’s not the right pronounciation =P I think it’s crap-pay, since there’s the funny squiggle on top of the second ‘e’. (Edit! LH [and now Shu Ying too =X] pointed out it’s pronounced ‘kreyps’ and the squiggle is on the first ’e’. Ahhh this is embarrassing. This is what I get for not doing prior research on my materials. Ho ho.) Like ‘latte’. But enough about enunciations. We went over to Bugis Village to walk around more. Up the escalators to this bikini shop where Bernice tried on the bikinis there. Woo hoo! (If I knew how to whistle this would be the cue for one) I think her figure is fine but she’s always so obsessed with being supermodel-slim >.< And that has been ever since sec 1! I tried on a sunshine yellow tube minidress which I kind of sort of maybe like. But it’s yellow, it screams SUNNY DISPOSITION which even though I occasionally have, I’d actually prefer goth (which sadly I can’t pull off because I’m naturally cheerful [when not alone]). AND it’s a tube dress which is strictly girly.
I may get it if a boyfriend likes it. He would have to pay for it though. HAHAH.
Well.
Sigh.
Back to the account of the day. We left at 7pm and got seriously lost, as usual. And I mean totally majorly lost considering it’s nighttime to boot and everything’s dark. We found the NBR exit from the carpark after a handful of turns in there (there are two exits: Middle Road and North Bridge Road; NBR is the one we came in from) and promptly got lost. LH had left to meet her friends and Bernice was with me. We kept going straight until North Bridge Road gave way to South Bridge Road and we finally decided to stop somewhere between Temple Street and Smith Street to consult the street directory (which by the way is 5 years old). I found the route (and Bernice really shouldn’t do map-reading >.< ) to CTE through Neil -> Cantonment; Outram-> Chin Swee -> CTE. BUT!! We exited wrongly at Clemenceau Ave when we should have stuck to the CTE (SLE) lanes. So we went past River Valley Road and got an error as we went past the ERP!! OMG! We had to do a u-turn before Oxley Rise arrived and got another error at the same ERP!! OMG! We went back to River Valley road and took a (wrong) turn in to stop and consult the directory again. I decided to u-turn back to Chin Swee Road and enter CTE the same way we did previously. (On re-examining the map a few minutes ago I realise we could have just continued on Clemenceau Ave -> Penang Road -> Buyong Road -> Kramat Road -> CTE). We found Chin Swee Road as chin-swee-y as ever and this called for another illegal manoeuvre.

The green patches are non-roads and the gray patches are, erm, non-roads as well. The red arrow shows our path. It may not be obvious from my drawing that that is an illegal turning, but I assure you, it’s pretty much “duh” obvious we weren’t supposed to do that. The gray patch down south is considerably bigger than the scale of what I drew here. This time we kept to the main road of the expressway and finally exited at Ang Mo Kio ave 3 and I dropped Bernice off at Jubilee and I went (back again) into CTE to fetch my mom.
One hell of a day today =) I didn’t get to eat dinner until past 9pm =( And the crepe I bought to go didn’t taste as nice as the one I ate at Cineleisure either =’( AND OMG I GOT TWO ERRORS AT THE ERP AND MY MOM IS GOING TO KILL ME.
I’m going down to JIC (Yio Chu Kang) tomorrow morning to try and get the fine waived. Good thing the place is so freaking near my house.
PS: Excuse me for blogging like a bimbo with all the random OMG!s in front =P
PS2: But you gotta admit kreyps is boring and idiotic sounding. CRAPPEES FOR THE WIN! Mwahahaha.

omg!
dictionary.com pronounces it as crape haha

in case it wasn’t obvious from the first comic,
MOUSEOVERMOUSEOVERMOUSEOVERMOUSEOVER!
All my comics have alt text =X.
And thank you =D. I still have paranoid 4 which is really less paranoid than it is unsettlingly lame.
Paranoid 3 is autobiographical.

being paranoid’s putting an obvious hint in a particular blog post and then commenting abt it ltr under ANOTHER post, afraid tt readers can’t catch e hint.

Lol, no I’d rather not drive with a guy in the passenger seat, coz the guy should be driving ME!
And your template is uh uh! It should start off with “Being paranoid MEANS..”. But that’s a good one!
